Print & reprint notes

A picture book looks simple. That is the hardest part.

Each of ours is drawn over months (pencil, then ink, then colour) and then argued over for months more. We fuss about paper weight, about whether a board book's corners are kind to small hands, about a single shade of cobalt that has to be exactly itself and nothing near it.

Then there is the quiet victory nobody frames: the reprint. A reprint means the first run sold through, that the book found its children, that it earned its place back on the press. We have now reprinted several titles, and each time it feels less like business and more like a book insisting on staying.

We are a small studio in Bengaluru. We make screen-free books for the slow afternoon, and we make them to last: through re-readings, through siblings, through the particular wear that only a loved book earns.

More soon, two new titles are on the press for 2026.
